St Michaels House is a short break service predominantly for adults with physical disabilities though adults with learning disabilities also attend. We support a variety of different people with different needs so every day is different. About the role Helping the people we support meet their basic daily needs and achieve their goals Supporting with personal hygiene, eating and drinking Support with keeping the service clean and tidy. Joining in with social and leisure activities at home and in their local community Ensuring that the people we support and their families enjoy their time away from home and get a well earned break. Support people with personal care, in some cases, this involves using moving and handling equipment Our roles also involve shift work on either day, including weekends and bank holidays. You may be asked to complete sleep ins as part of your role to support in evacuation purposes only. About you Essential: Provide direct support and review support plans. Good record keeping skills. Good team working skills. Good communicator with listening skills. Being able to work objectively and with integrity. Desirable: Competent with Microsoft packages. Have completed the Care Certificate, hold or working towards Level 2 HSC award (NVQ/RQF/apprenticeship). Organisational skills.
