Working in partnership with the Lead for retention and practice development, the post holder will develop and embed evidence-based clinical nursing practice across the trust through implementation and facilitation of clinically based education, training, and skills development.
Main Duties of the Job

The post holder will undertake manual handling training to ensure continuity of delivery within the Practice Development service.
The core programmes of training will include venepuncture, cannulation, intravenous access, and IV administration. The post holder will lead the clinical skills training team to ensure our nursing staff have access to clinical skills training.
There is an expectation that the post holder will also support our other Practice Development department programmes at peak times.
This post complements ward-based/specific induction and education and will support and facilitate core practice-based education to all sectors of the nursing workforce by delivering ward and clinical training and assessing clinical competency of core skills, role modeling best practice (e.g., manual handling) in conjunction with ward staff either in the classroom setting or clinical areas.
