Our Patient Solutions Team are proud to provide the wheelchair and specialist seating service on behalf of the NHS in Northampton and Kettering. We have a fantastic development opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join our team. Following a period of initial training, this role offers the scope to develop into a Field Service Engineer/Warehouse Operative. Therefore, a full, clean driving licence is required. The role As Warehouse Operative, you will co-ordinate warehouse activities for the receipt of goods inwards from suppliers, refurbishments and service user returns. Once you progress to Field Service Engineer/Warehouse Operative, you will assist the clinical team in modifying and repairing equipment for service users. You will also be available for emergency call outs every 1 in 3 weeks as well as issues, collections and repairs when covering annual leave. Key duties. Receipting new orders and returned wheelchair equipment. Raising purchase orders and order stock once authorised. Assisting with stock management. Preparing stock for collection to refurb. Preparing equipment for clinics / home visits Ensuring that the storerooms are kept clean and tidy, and all stock is in the correct place. Dismantling wheelchair equipment for recycling or disposal To undertake administrative tasks including photocopying and electronic record keeping via BEST. Ensure all documentation is completed in accordance with current ISO procedures What are we looking for? Key skills GCSE Maths and English Full, clean UK Driving Licence Previous Warehouse experience Willingness to provide support for call out service. Competent in Microsoft Office packages Flexible and positive approach to work. Ability to work as part of a team or under own initiative to meet the objectives of the warehouse.
