The Maintenance Planner at HH is responsible for supporting the Maintenance and Engineering Managers in implementing the engineering strategy through a data-driven approach. Responsibilities include delivering weekly reports on maintenance tasks, creating detailed work plans for production outages, managing parts expenditure, and ensuring adherence to safety regulations and documentation. The Maintenance Planner will also serve as the site’s “PIRANA” Champion, overseeing system administration, conducting system audits and enhancing planned maintenance processes. Assist Maintenance & Engineering Managers in implementing the Engineering strategy through a data-driven/KPI approach. Deliver weekly reports on completed maintenance tasks and potential improvements to the Maintenance Manager, coordinating scheduled system maintenance across various departments, creating weekend task lists, tracking their completion, and provide constructive feedback. Create detailed work plans for weekly production outages and develop a reporting structure to assess their effectiveness. Manage parts expenditure and availability to support daily planning and engineering needs within a specified budget. Closely monitor the returned Work Orders for completeness and accuracy, taking corrective actions based on feedback. Continuously develop and ensure adherence to rules, including permits, inductions, Risk Assessment Method Statements “RAMS”, and all necessary documentation to complete work safely, on time, and within budget. Manage and maintain the department's safety system to ensure that risk assessments, safe systems of work, etc., are routinely reviewed and correctly managed in accordance with current company policy. Serve as the site’s CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) “PIRANA” Champion, overseeing the current system's administration, including Preventative Maintenance schedules, asset management, and related documentation. Enhance the site's Planned Maintenance through the CMMS by optimising asset hierarchy and PM processes, leading CMMS advancements to align with industry standards, reporting on routine PM tasks, structuring and delivering PIRANA system training for continuous improvement, and generating and distributing PM Work Orders via PIRANA both manually and electronically. Conduct Engineering system audits aligned with internal and external best practices to maximize the system's, manpower's, and assets' utilisation. Optimise preventive maintenance (PM) schedules based on asset performance and production feedback, ensuring adherence to these schedules, and developing detailed shutdown PM plans to enable efficient spare parts procurement and manpower allocation. Manage and maintain the department's safety system to ensure that risk assessments, safe systems of work, etc., are routinely reviewed and correctly managed in accordance with current company policy. Continuously develop and ensure adherence to rules, including permits, inductions, Risk Assessment Method Statements “RAMS”, and all necessary documentation to complete work safely, on time, and within budget. Actively participate in site and system-based initiatives, contributing to future planning, identifying potential issues, and assisting in the implementation of capital-based initiatives, including OEM PM schedules, as directed. Develop and manage a robust agile system, specifically the Kanban approach, to routinely replace wear elements such as mold tubs, bases, frames, cooking frames, and wheels across the site. Play an active role in ensuring the site meets its targets by analysing unplanned breakdowns and implementing robust root cause solutions to prevent recurrence, while monitoring the effectiveness of planned mechanical activities and identifying opportunities for improvement. Utilise resources both within and outside the organization to ensure best practices are adopted and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (“OEE”) targets are consistently met. Knowledge, skills and experience required: Educated to degree level in Engineering, Business Administration, Industrial Management, or relevant subject area. Time served maintenance craft member suitable recognised qualification in engineering (e.g. HNC, level 3 NVQ 3 in electrical, mechanical or engineering maintenance etc.) Demonstrable experience in supporting the upkeep of industrial plant machinery and equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and reliability. Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, and experience in relevant software (e.g. CMMS, Computerised Maintenance Management Systems)
