PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Lead audio technology development projects within PlayStation Studios and provide end-to-end audio solutions to game teams and platform stakeholders. Drive best practices, own quality, and deliver larger-scale cutting-edge audio technology features. Liaise with multiple external departments to foster relationships and drive external audio technologies.
Typical projects are;
1. Scheduling, overseeing and directly building tech features used on multiple game titles simultaneously.
2. High-level collaboration with other game production departments and platform teams
3. Developing workflows to be used by external departments such as sound and music
4. Working with management to improve department functionality
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
5. Overall delivery of audio technology for departments, studios and platforms.
6. Technical support for more junior team members.
7. Future development of audio systems to be used on multiple projects.
8. Driving external audio technology development.
We’d love to hear from you if have:
9. At least 7 years of C++ experience
10. In-depth DSP knowledge and experience
11. Game audio middleware experience (Wwise, FMod etc) is a plus
12. Audio plugin development experience
13. Unreal Engine experience a plus
