About The Service
The corporate Buildings and Cleaning Services department is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of building management and cleaning services across all County Estates managed properties, providing a high-quality customer service to all building users.
The service supports the Corporate Hybrid Working Strategy and has a responsibility to implement strategic principles concerning accommodation and technology to fulfil the needs of services using core office space. A key objective is to establish and continue to develop management systems and protocols to effectively oversee core office space, optimising occupancy and utilisation.
About the job
In this Core office Business Support Officer Role, you will be responsible for:
1. Taking ownership of the corporate meeting hub, including co-ordination of meeting bookings, and carrying out ICT equipment inventories to ensure an effective and efficient user experience.
2. Providing an efficient and effective first point of contact to internal/external customers.
3. Working collaboratively with colleagues across the service to ensure effective service delivery, share knowledge and keep working practices up to date.
4. Gathering and analysing a range of performance data and producing reports for managers.
5. Performing general office administration and communicating with colleagues in the team and from other services over the telephone, Microsoft Teams, or in face-to-face meetings.
This is an agile working position, so some tasks may be carried out at home or at other council locations.
The Building Support team will support and encourage you to develop in the role and you will be encouraged to take on a variety of duties.
The working week is Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.30pm.
