Balfour Beatty VINCI is working with various organisations to design and build 90km West Midlands stretch of HS2 - Britain’s new high-speed railway Our work is essential to enable HS2 trains to travel between London and Birmingham and continue their journey up to Manchester. It’s an incredibly exciting time to join us - we’re at peak construction with work really ramping up on a broad range of assets including bridges, tunnels and viaducts. Plus you’d join 9,000 people across 72 nationalities working on this exciting section of HS2 across the region. We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a BIM Coordinator within the Design Team. Support the delivery of BIM requirements on the project and take an active involvement in the promotion, development and delivery of BIM within the allocated Sublot team. This will involve handling and coordinating the Building Information Models and data taking responsibility for the management of information within the Common Data Environment and checking for compliance with Project BIM standards The following qualities/experience are essential: • Can demonstrate technical ability with the use of CAD, review and 4D software applications • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, to support the ongoing management of the Project Information Model, through active interaction with the wider project team • Proficient in using CAD authoring and model review software • A good understanding of the UK BIM standards and BIM Level 2 requirements • Experience and enthusiasm in developing the skills of others - expected to coach and disseminate knowledge to the team including apprentices, graduates and more experienced members of the team. • Rigour in the application of information management standards. • Knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations Please note candidates will need to have a current valid right to work in the UK to be considered for this role.
