This school is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teacher to inspire students and foster a deep understanding of historical events, societies, and cultures. The successful candidate will engage students in critical discussions, develop analytical skills, and encourage a passion for history. This role begins June 2025.
Duties as a History Teacher:
* Plan and deliver engaging history lessons in line with the curriculum.
* Teach a variety of historical periods, themes, and global perspectives.
* Encourage critical thinking and debate about historical sources and interpretations.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
* Use a range of teaching methods, including multimedia resources and interactive activities.
* Organise educational trips, museum visits, or history-related extracurricular activities.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of historical research and teaching practices.
* Contribute to the wider school community and support school initiatives.
Ideal History Teacher:
* A degree in History, Education, or a related field.
* A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
* Experience teaching history at [primary/secondary] level.
* Strong communication and classroom management skills.
* Passion for history and student development.
