We're now looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor who will oversee our new production line focusing on Junxion Box products.
What you’ll do:
1. This position is responsible for providing leadership for the Junction Box value stream and for achieving all relevant KPI’s and divisional targets set by the Operations Manager. The role involves leading staff in the team with a focus on manufacturing quality products by following documented operational processes, delivering required productivity levels, continuous improvement, and lean thinking.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the Junction Box area and promote a Zero Defects mindset and establish a continuous improvement approach.
2. Deliver set operational targets and build employee capability through identifying training needs, monitoring competencies, and regular 1:1 conversations.
3. Ensure on-time delivery in a safe, quality compliant, and cost productive way.
4. Support relationships and work collaboratively with key stakeholders and support functions (Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering).
5. Support and lead (where required) disciplinary and grievance procedures.
6. Produce timely productivity data for reporting.
7. Leverage Eaton Business System (EBS) tools and relay these skills and knowledge to the workforce.
8. Support employee development that is driven by business need and which ensures employees grow and reach their full potential.
9. Ensure manufacturing goals are clearly defined and monitored.
10. Comply with our Quality Management System which follows ISO 9001-2018 principles.
11. Contribute to the development and implementation of organisational strategies, policies, and practices.
12. Promote and engage with the following: Zero Incident Workplace Culture, Manufacturing Process Design, Manufacturing Value Stream Success Factors, Manufacturing Strategy Development.
Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
2. Extensive manufacturing, fabrication, and welding knowledge.
3. People management and leadership skills.
Skills:
1. Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies or 6 Sigma tools.
2. Confident communication, presentation, and listening skills.
3. Ability to plan, schedule, and prioritise workload.
4. Proven ability to delegate and work well with others.
