Role Description:
As the Chief of Staff at GIST Impact, you will directly support the CEO, working closely with him to drive forward sales and partnership opportunities, building thought leadership, and executing strategic projects.
You will collaborate with the CEO to build custom communications and presentation materials, conduct strategic outreach (ecosystem building as well as business development) and coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage and channel leads and projects effectively.
Additionally, you will provide high-level support to the CEO by managing his special research projects and contributing to initiatives that align with organisational priorities.

Objectives of the Role
* Collaborate with CEO to maximise business and market development opportunities resulting from his engagements: e.g. business development follow-ups and strategic partnership opportunities, coordinating closely with corporate and investor sales and account teams.
* Prepare the CEO for thought leadership engagements: support the CEO with presentation materials, narrative development, advocacy, and positioning in key industry and sustainability forums, coordinating closely with communications colleagues.
* Support the CEO with Special Projects: conducting research, providing content development support, and assisting in executing high-priority initiatives e.g. not-for-profit and academic engagements, internal change projects, etc.
Key Responsibilities
Business and Partnership Development
* Work with the CEO to maximise business development and partnership opportunities
* Manage lead categorisation, prioritization, and follow-ups to boost conversions
* Manage relationships and strategic outreach to key contacts
* Develop proposals for prospective clients and partners
* Create and pull together case studies, fact sheets, and other materials as required
* Leverage tools like Pipedrive to streamline business development processes
* Mentor the commercial team on processes and collateral for consistency
Thought Leadership & Positioning
* Build high-impact presentation and communication materials
* Coordinate with organisers of events, podcasts and other key thought leadership moments
* Workshop narratives and storylines with the CEO and Communications team
* Write and publish thematic thought leadership content
* Guide on engagement and positioning with key stakeholders in the sustainability landscape
* Represent the CEO in industry and sustainability forums as required
Strategic Support
* Conduct in-depth research on specific projects as commissioned by the CEO, including for policymakers, academia and NGOs
* Lead CEO’s priority corporate initiatives around change management, organisational development, fundraising, etc.
Required Skills and Experience
* Seasoned professional with relevant experience: proven track record in consulting and/or sustainability and/or data analytics
* Sustainability knowledge: Familiarity with sustainability reporting standards and regulations (e.g. CSRD, TNFD) is a big plus
* Excellent Communicator: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with very strong English language capabilities and ability to write business English well
* Strong Design Skills: Ability to make clean, creative and compelling PowerPoint slides, case studies, sales aids, etc. Experience creating client-ready collateral in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word is required
* Numerate and Data-Driven: Not afraid of numbers, and inclined to use data to make decisions, working with key sales metrics to identify specific areas for improvement and drive targeted sales enablement initiatives
* Dynamic Self-Starter: Ability to proactively identify opportunities in a fast-paced environment and take independent action without the need for external prompting or supervision
* Skilled at Project Management: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a commitment to manage multiple milestones and ongoing projects, stay on top of deadlines and manage your own time and that of colleagues
* Effective Team Collaborator: Outstanding interpersonal skills, and ability to manage cross-functional collaboration across multiple teams in the business
* Start-Up Experience: Prior experience in a start-up environment, and an understanding of B2B sales best practices are a plus
