Band 7 Psychological Therapist (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)
We have an exciting vacancy for a Band 7 Psychological Therapist within our Integrated Community Care and Recovery (ICCR) Services. This post is suitable for an individual who has completed a CBT postgrad diploma course. We will support the successful candidate with further bespoke mental health training (i.e. PG Cert Enhanced CBT course) and through a variety of individual and group supervision activities to enhance clinical practice.
We are looking for a suitably experienced and qualified psychological practitioner to be part of a multi-professional team supporting the Transformation of our Community Services in BSMHFT as part of the NHS Long Term Plan. This full-time post is located at Orsborn House, West Hub CMHTs where you will be joining a psychological services team comprised of Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists, and CBT Therapists. The successful candidate will also have opportunities to build strong relationships with colleagues within the Hub and the wider BSMHFT service through various projects and service development initiatives. We would welcome applications from those looking to build upon their clinical skills with a wide range of presenting difficulties to make a difference in the local community. The successful applicant will have access to a variety of in-house and external CPD opportunities to ensure they continue to develop their skills and competencies.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and skilled clinician who can work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, to provide a range of clinical services. The individual will have excellent opportunities to gain experience of multilevel and integrated service provision and to further develop skills of complex case assessment, formulation and the application of evidence based psychological interventions, both individual and in groups. You should have experience of working with service users with complex mental health and behavioural needs and individuals from diverse communities.

Training/qualifications
Essential
* A specialist post-graduate (or equivalent) qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) i.e. MSc, or Post Graduate Diploma. For trainee post to be enrolled on one of these courses.
* Accreditation with the BABCP.
* Additional training i.e. PG Cert Enhanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (Psychosis and Bipolar/PD).
Desirable
* Additional qualifications in an accredited therapy.
* A qualification, or have undertaken a program of formal training in Clinical Supervision (e.g. completion of a specialist Clinical Supervision Module).
Experience
Essential
* Relevant post registration experience working in mental health services.
* Skills and experience of working with, assessing, planning, co-ordinating and supporting people with mental health problems in a community setting around a range of emotional/mental health, behavioural/additional health or developmental needs/substance misuse needs.
* Experience of working with people with complex and challenging presentations.
Desirable
* Skills and knowledge in utilising specific assessments and outcome measures.
Personal
Essential
* Demonstrate a commitment to personal development including ability to be self-reflective, whilst working with service users, in own personal and professional development and in supervision.
* Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of clinical/managerial/academic supervision.
