About Us: Teaching Personnel work closesly with a mixed primary and secondary specialist SEN school that provides an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment for children with a range of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), speech and language difficulties, and physical disabilities. The Role: We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Educational Health Care Assistant to join our team. You will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to our students, assisting with their educational, emotional, and physical needs. Working closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff, you will help ensure that every student feels valued and supported in their learning journey. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to students in their daily learning activities, helping them to access the curriculum. Assist with the personal care and physical needs of students, including feeding, toileting, and mobility, in accordance with individual care plans. Support the development of social, communication, and life skills, helping students build confidence and independence. Work with teachers to implement educational health care plans and help track student progress. Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times, particularly during transitions and unstructured activities. Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment. Assist with specialized equipment and resources as needed. Requirements: Experience working with children or adults with SEN or disabilities in an educational, health care, or social care setting. Compassion, patience, and a strong desire to support the well-being and development of children with special needs. Ability to provide personal care support with dignity and respect. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. A proactive, flexible, and positive approach to meeting the challenges and rewards of working in an SEN environment. Desirable: NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or a relevant qualification. Experience working with students with Autism, ADHD, physical disabilities, or complex medical needs. Knowledge of safeguarding practices and working with vulnerable individuals.
