On behalf of our multi office regional client, we are delighted to be looking for a Senior Associate to join their Employment team.
This firm offers a clear career progression roadmap and prefer to promote within. Last year, they promoted three staff member to Partner and one this year too.
Main purposes of role (not exhaustive)
1. Experienced Employment Lawyer required - preferably with contacts, but it is not a pre-requisite.
2. Must be 10+ years PQE.
3. Strong knowledge of advising employers and highly skilled at managing a high workload.
4. Experience with handling fast paced and highly demanding medium to large corporate clients essential.
5. Counselling plus non contentious experience essential.
6. Technical expertise and knowledge including TUPE, restructures, employee relations, changing terms and conditions, IR35etc.
7. Ability to work closely with the Head of Department, handle both their own case load, and have exposure to Partner’s cases from time to time.
8. Experience in supervising junior fee earners.
9. Ability to negotiate.
10. In their personal fee earning work, billings in accordance with set targets, other than where exceptional circumstances apply.
11. Perform fee earning work accurately, reliably and in accordance with the firm’s quality and risk management procedures.
12. Flexibility, dealing with a number of matters at any given time.
