However, this is a multi-site role and travel between sites is expected. This role comes with annual teaching hours of 648. It is expected that the successful candidate will teach on Engineering programmes to young people and adults. The successful candidate must have: A Degree in Engineering or a related field A recognised teaching qualification Teaching experience within the FE or Secondary School Sector Experience of leadership and staff management. Evidence of supporting a team to achieve results. A proven record of demonstrating excellence in teaching. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Management: Support the Head of Engineering Programs in the strategic planning and day-to-day management of the department. Lead on specific projects or initiatives as required. Teaching and Curriculum Development: Contribute to teaching and learning activities, and lead on the development and review of the curriculum in line with industry trends and academic standards. Quality Assurance: Oversee the implementation of quality assurance processes, including course evaluations, staff appraisals, and accreditation requirements. Staff Development and Management: Assist in managing academic and support staff, including recruitment, development, and performance management. Student Experience: Ensure a high-quality learning experience for students, addressing any issues related to student satisfaction, progression, and achievement. Resource Management: Oversee the allocation and utilization of departmental resources, including budget management and infrastructure development. Stakeholder Engagement: Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including employers, professional bodies, and academic partners. Qualifications: A degree in Engineering, Management, or a related field. A recognised teaching qualification or equivalent experience. Experience: Proven track record of teaching Engineering programmes. Experience in leadership and staff management. Skills and Attributes: Strong leadership and organisational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Commitment to enhancing the student learning experience. Proficiency in data analysis and decision-making based on best practices.
