About the Team and the Role:
Warwickshire County Council is a top-performing two-tier local authority with a reputation for innovation. This is an exciting time to join the Adult Social Care Mental Health Services in Warwickshire as we have transformed how our mental health services are delivered. We recognize the significant impact a specialist social work mental health workforce has in delivering social interventions within an integrated community mental health service. As a result, we have moved to a specialist social care service provided by Warwickshire County Council and the Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust.
We are looking to recruit a social care practitioner to join South Warwickshire CMHT, which provides a service to people in the community who are experiencing a range of mental health challenges including psychosis, Bipolar Affective Disorder, and other mood and anxiety-related disorders. You will be providing social interventions and working closely with health colleagues in the Community Mental Health Teams. You will receive professional supervision and leadership from a Social Care Team Manager.
Key Requirements:
For this post, we are looking for a highly motivated, flexible individual who has a proven track record of using a person-centered and Strength-Based Approach.
You will be providing social interventions that are Strength-Based and focused on recovery and a social wellbeing approach. You will demonstrate a highly competent level of skill in assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation alongside knowledge of the Mental Health Act, The Care Act, and the Mental Capacity Act.
You will be working within integrated multi-disciplinary teams that include, amongst other roles, Community Mental Health Nurses, Approved Mental Health Professionals, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Support Workers, and Clerical Staff.
