On behalf of The Insolvency Service, we are looking for a SC Cleared Data Architect for a 2 Month contract based in Birmingham - Hybrid working.
As a Data Architect, your main responsibilities will be:
1. Work alongside existing data engineers, technical architects, and business SMEs.
2. Design conceptual & logical data models for some of the agency's operations, including:
1. Creating as-is and to-be models.
2. Aligning to-be models with existing models for other operations.
3. Designing management of data dictionaries.
4. Designing data and metadata standards.
Essential:
1. Professional IT qualifications such as TOGAF or CITP, and relevant Microsoft certifications.
2. Demonstrable experience in data architect roles in complex organisations.
3. Experience in Data Modelling for operational and analytical systems, including conceptual models through to physical schema deployments.
4. Expertise in Databases (SQL) and an understanding of data analytics tools such as Power BI.
5. Experience with Microsoft Ecosystem tools - Azure SQL/Synapse/ADF/SQL Server/PBI/Azure API/Azure Analysis Services/Purview/Visual Studio/Azure DevOps/Fabric.
6. Experience in developing and governing Data Principles, Policies, Standards, Processes, and Procedures.
7. Experience in Data Quality and Data Governance.
8. Experience of developing data architecture capabilities for operational and analytical systems.
9. Experience with an Enterprise Data Catalogue and Business Glossary.
10. Experience of cloud data technologies, enterprise integration tools, and Extract, Transformation and Load (ETL) tools.
11. Understanding of the data lifecycle and implications for GDPR.
12. Knowledge of data security best practices.
13. Python.
SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role; as a minimum, you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks.
