Overview
Reporting to the Equipment Manager, the successful candidate will work across sites with the ability to work on a range of 200mm and 300mm Semi-Conductor Equipment specializing in the Photolithography and Bake department. The role involves supporting Operations and Technicians routinely and communicating across department teams as required. As part of the Equipment team, the candidate will minimize tool downtime to exceed equipment uptime targets.
Key tasks
1. Work on installations, commissioning, upgrades, preventative maintenance, repairs, and decommissioning of all Photolithography and Bake Equipment as required.
2. Support Production requirements and Operators in a team environment.
3. Work on a day shift with some out-of-hours or weekend support as required by business needs.
4. Review and develop training plans, documentation, and help maintain a technical training matrix, providing training where required to team members.
5. Identify potential improvements for maintenance activities to maximize efficiency and support the implementation of these improvements where required.
6. Work alongside Production Planning to agree priorities and ensure demand is met.
7. Maintain tool tracking system, reports, and parts relevant for equipment overall.
8. Report and present technical reports on equipment performance excursions.
9. Support the efficient management and running of Cleanroom activities including Health and Safety, 5S, and Continuous Improvement Processes.
10. Provide secondary support for other areas such as Etch, Deposition, Metrology, BEOL, and Automation.
Qualifications and training
1. HNC / HND or equivalent qualification in an Engineering Discipline.
2. Experience in Photolithography and Bake processing in a volume manufacturing environment.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office / 365 Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
4. Experience of working within a Quality Systems environment such as ISO9000.
Skills and experience
1. Working experience within a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment specifically in Photolithography Wafer Track, Stepper, and Bake processes.
2. Ability to meet deadlines and manage own time and workload using excellent organizational skills.
3. Extensive use of Hand Tools and Test Equipment.
4. Strong ability to systematically fault-find on complex equipment.
5. Ability to work as part of a team and independently using own initiative.
6. Able to create detailed written procedures (such as from equipment manuals) for maintenance tasks to be performed.
7. Mentoring and training of Technicians, Apprentices, and Junior Engineers as required.
8. Reporting of Standard KPIs and having input into Continuous Improvement activities.
