We are seeking an Electrical Assembly Operative to join a leading manufacturing team in Brighton. This role is ideal for someone who has a keen interest in electronics and assembly processes, and who thrives in a detailed and hands-on work environment. Day-to-day of the role: Assemble electrical or electronic systems and support structures; installing components, units, subassemblies, wiring, and assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, soldering and micro-welding equipment. Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and reports to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions. Adjust, repair, or replace electrical or electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications. Position, align, and adjust workpieces and electrical parts to facilitate wiring and assembly. Conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance. Maintain a clean and organised work area to facilitate manufacturing functions. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as an Electrical Assembly Operative or in a similar role. Familiarity with electronic assembly and tools used in the assembly process. Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings. Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
