THE JOB
The Project Manager is responsible for managing complex cross-departmental initiatives that help realize business goals. Using established project methodologies, in waterfall, agile, and hybrid environments, the Project Manager is responsible managing projects and opportunity timelines for our suite of public safety solutions.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
* Develop and maintain necessary project artifacts for customer and cross-departmental projects and initiatives. Collaborates with stakeholders to set goals, build plans, and manage to successful outcomes.
* Facilitate status meetings to ensure appropriate governance and effective resource management.
* Work closely with team members to ensure completion of tasks in accordance with established timelines and quality metrics.
* Track key decisions, progress to plan, budget, and resource balancing.
* Proactively manage risks and issues, including mitigation and contingency planning, escalating as appropriate.
* Ensure appropriate approvals throughout the project lifecycle, including formal change requests, and communicate appropriately with stakeholders.
* Contribute to the maturity of project management methodology through the creation and maintenance of project artifacts, lessons learned, training, and lessons learning/retrospectives.
* Coach key Project team members and share experiences and best practices.
WHAT YOU BRING
* Excellent written and oral communication skills, including group facilitation, at all levels of the organisation.
* Demonstrated customer focus, active listening, conflict resolution and analytical problem-solving skills with a consultative approach.
* Ability to establish and maintain relationships, including resolving conflict, to build strong teams.
* Ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
Skill Sets:
* Five years of project management experience with a focus on planning, monitoring, and control.
* Proficiency with MS Office 365 software applications including Project, Planner, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams.
* Experience using MS Project is essential, while any experience using D365 Project Operations is desirable.
* A Project Management certification is required – e.g., Project Management Professional, etc.
* Knowledge or experience of Scrum is desired, but not essential.
* Fluency in German is desired, but not essential.
