The Role
Forbes Solicitors LLP are seeking an IT Administrator and Trainee Trainer to join our IT team at our Walton Summit Office in Preston. This role is full time role working 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious administrator to start or progress their career and become part of a collaborative and professional team. While the role demands the fast pace, customer focus, and high standards of a law firm, it also ensures a sustainable work-life balance, reflecting the regional area it serves.
The successful candidate will provide administrative support to assist in the achievement of the IT departments targets and objectives. This role also offers the opportunity to develop into an IT systems trainer and support the Training Team in shadowing and delivering effective training sessions on various software applications.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for achieving successful outcomes such as:
* Successfully maintaining key IT databases and registers through accurate data input and data collation
* Accurate maintenance of IT training records on the Firms Learning Management System
* Collation of key IT information through the creation of surveys/questionnaires (e.g. Microsoft Forms)
* Preparation of training materials, including the creation and subsequent updating of training manuals, guides, documentation, and videos
* Other IT duties relating to helpdesk and training support
* Providing effective support to the IT Trainers to pick up skills to allow for career progression and delivery of future IT training sessions.
The Person
We will be progressing applicants to the next stage based on their demonstrated knowledge, experience, and skills in:
* GCSE Maths and English, grade C/4 or above, or equivalent.
* basic knowledge and proficiency in using common software applications and IT systems (e.g., Microsoft Office, systems).
* strong administrative skills including, word processing, maintaining records, and handling correspondence.
* excellent time management skills;
* aligns with the Firms values;
* have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills;
* have the ability to work as part of a team;
* have strong commercial awareness;
* have good communication skills, both written and verbal;
* have an interest in long term development/progression in the department;
