The Senior Community Officer (Student Engagement) will work with the Bank’s Community Lead to design, deliver and develop a new student engagement programme consisting of work experience, a mentoring programme and bursary.
The role will sit within the recently formed Climate, Sustainability and Community (CSC) Division – which straddles central services and policy Deputy Governor-ships. This new division is intended to draw together the Bank’s policy work on climate, operationally focused sustainability and decarbonisation activities, work in the wider community that create social impact, and the Bank’s Health and Safety team.
Specific responsibilities of the Senior Community Officer will include:
1. Working with the Community Lead to plan and deliver workshops and presentations for young people aged 16-18 (online and in-person).
2. Creating and collating educational content for use on the work experience and mentoring programme.
3. Coordinating and managing all aspects of programme recruitment and shortlisting using a range of data and criteria.
4. Managing event logistics e.g. room bookings, catering and security clearance
5. Develop and maintain connections with alumni from the Student Programme including overseeing the dispersal of the bursary of the Programme
