Salary: £84 - £96 per day (Depending on Experience)

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our client school in Hull. This role is ideal for individuals with a keen interest in working with students who require additional support, helping them achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive educational environment.
As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will:
1. Provide academic support to students, helping them to understand and engage with lessons.
2. Assist students with special educational needs, ensuring they are fully included in classroom activities.
3. Support students in a one-to-one or small group setting, adapting to their individual learning needs.
4. Help to develop and implement personalised learning plans in collaboration with teaching staff.
5. Encourage and foster positive behaviour and participation during lessons.
6. Support the teacher in preparing learning materials and classroom activities.
7. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the teaching staff.
8. Assist in the supervision of students during break times and other school activities.
9. Create a supportive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning.
What we need from an LSA:
1. Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
2. A CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or similar qualifications are desirable but not required.
3. A passion for supporting young people with diverse learning needs.
4. Strong communication skills to build effective relationships with students and staff.
5. Ability to work well as part of a team and contribute positively to the school's ethos.
6. An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
