ISI is seeking skilled Welder/Fabricators for our Emigsville, PA shop. Mig and stick welding skills are required. Tig is very helpful.
As a Welder/Fabricator, you’ll:
* Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to plan layouts
* Layout, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications
* Tack weld or weld components and assemblies using electric, gas, arc or other welding techniques and equipment (MIG/TIG & HELIARCH)
* Determine required equipment and welding method, applying knowledge of metallurgy and welding techniques
* Inspect and assess the quality and strength of welding work
* Weld various metals: Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Steel, Bronze/Brass, etc.
* Ensure fabricated parts are correctly marked with location, part # and any other relevant information
* Move finished materials into appropriate storage areas
* Communicate and coordinate with Shop Administration for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently
* Request equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items
* Perform other duties as assigned
This position pays $25/hour OR MORE, depending on experience, qualifications and skills. We also offer health, dental, vision and short-term insurance, plus a company-matched retirement plan.
REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this position, you must:
* Have solid welding experience/training;
* Pass a weld/fabrication test (mig and stick);
* Know how to read and fabricate from blueprints;
* Provide your own hand tools (the tools of the trade);
* Pass a drug screen and background check.
