They are now looking for a Senior Volunteering Officer to join them on a full-time, permanent basis, working 35 hours per week. The Role As a Senior Volunteering Officer, you will drive the development of innovative volunteering approaches, supporting volunteers based in community services. Specifically, you will work with Trust staff and partner organisations to create impactful volunteering roles that improve patient experiences and address community health challenges. You will design, launch, and evaluate volunteer roles that address health inequalities, focusing on system change and fostering a volunteer community reflective of the wider population. This includes engaging with underrepresented groups to create a more inclusive and diverse volunteering network. Additionally, you will: - Identify new locations and roles to enhance the volunteering offer - Build relationships with community partners to support the development of volunteering initiatives - Ensure volunteers receive high-quality support and experiences within community sites About You To be considered as a Senior Volunteering Officer, you will need: - Experience developing and managing volunteer programmes, ideally within the health or community sector - A strong understanding of health inequalities and experience in addressing diversity and inclusion in volunteer recruitment and engagement - Excellent project management and organisational skills - Strong relationship-building and communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders - The ability to design and evaluate innovative programmes that deliver tangible benefits The closing date for this role is 8th of January 2025.
