Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to residents in our care home. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both residents and staff. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supervising care delivery, ensuring that care plans are followed, and supporting the overall well-being of our senior residents.
Duties
1. Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility support.
2. Supervise staff members and provide guidance on best practice.
3. Communicate effectively with residents to understand their needs and preferences, fostering a supportive environment.
4. Maintain accurate records of care plans and resident progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
5. Drive to various locations as required for resident outings or appointments.
6. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement effective care strategies tailored to individual needs.
7. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills in senior care.
Qualifications
1. Previous experience in a care home setting is highly desirable.
2. Strong leadership abilities with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with residents and colleagues.
4. Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining care records and documentation.
5. Knowledge of developing and implementing care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
