About the role
Futures are working with a super innovative consumer goods business who are known in the market for their exceptionally FUN products!
Due to amazing growth, they are expanding their sales team and looking for an experienced National Account Manager who is looking for a step up!
Reporting to the Sales Channel Director, you will manage a team of 3 and oversee a large chunk of the UK sales channel!
The account base is varied, including Grocery, Discounters, Distributors, Buying Groups, as well as new business.
You will work alongside the Senior leadership team to develop new and bespoke strategies to drive brand growth with all key partners, ensuring strong ROI on the investments made within the business.
This is much a stepping stone to become National Account Controller and be an integral part of the business involved with key global decisions.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Overall responsibility for a team of 3 direct reports at KAM and NAE level.
2. Develop new and bespoke strategies to drive brand growth with all key partners, ensuring strong ROI on the investments made in their business.
3. Look for and develop creative opportunities for growth in the Field / Independent sector, focusing particularly on the stronger independents that can deliver volume sales.
4. Develop bi-annual business plans for all key accounts that deliver upon company goals and meet customer needs.
5. Deliver product presentations, business proposals, and plans during key periods of the year.
6. Understand customer and distributor timelines and proactively provide customers with all information and materials required to make decisions and manage the business effectively.
7. Work with the support team to develop forecasts that best reflect market realities; update forecasts as required, on a monthly basis as a minimum.
8. Timely and effective review of actual performance to ensure goals are achieved and adjust plans as necessary.
9. Manage customer-specific budgets and update Salesforce on a monthly basis as a minimum.
10. Analysis of sell-through data and market intelligence to maximize business opportunities while minimizing risk.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
1. 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
2. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related area.
3. Demonstrated success managing a team of people and a business portfolio with a national UK retailer.
4. Retail experience either at store level or retail planning experience is an asset.
5. Proficiency in MS Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SAP, Salesforce is an asset.
