We are currently working with a school in Brislington who are seeking a 1:1 support worker to work with a pupil in year 3. As a 1:1 support worker, you will work closely with the SENCo and teaching staff to assist in the educational, personal, and social development of the pupil. You will help and support the pupil to engage with their learning, whilst helping them to regulate throughout the day, providing regular regulation breaks. The child loves school and learning but has experienced adverse childhood trauma. They are very enthusiastic and high-energy and often sensory seek through smell and touch. Experience and/or knowledge in trauma-informed practice is essential for this role.

* Will have knowledge and understanding of Adverse Childhood Experiences
* Passionate about supporting a child to achieve
* Experience and knowledge of trauma-informed practice
* Confident and up to date in assessment for learning practice
* Able to read and follow EHCPs
* Able to stay calm in a loud environment
* Able to foster and develop a caring ethos with both children and parents
* Committed to working as part of a close team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
