Job Purpose:
* Planning efficiently, effectively, and proactively adapting to change to increase utilisation of our own fleet within your regions.
* Understanding of individual Vendor requirements for your region/sites.
* Communicating and maintaining relationships with customers and drivers within the region you are based.
* Responsible for the coordination and logistical planning of collections and deliveries, ensuring cost effective utilisation of resources and performance is maximised.
* Responsible for working within set KPI’s and customer SLA’s ensuring they are met at all times whilst providing customer service excellence.
Decision Making:
* Plan allocated work in line with SLA’s and expectations of the business.
* Efficient resourcing of vehicles based on vehicle status and specifications.
* Ensure that cost effective decisions are made regarding outsourcing movements; work with third parties as required, negotiating to ensure the best possible price is achieved.
* Responsible for ensuring all paperwork associated with the Transport function is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
* Carrying out all necessary reporting both internally and as requested by customers, analysing results to identify areas of improvement.
Key Accountabilities:
* Work in conjunction with Branch, Drivers, and Subcontractors to ensure SLA’s are met.
* Ensure good communication lines are kept with Branch, Drivers, and Subcontractors.
* Efficient cost-effective planning.
* Reduced Sub-contractor costs.
* Ensuring all jobs are completed properly within TMS.
* Communicating all aborts to branch.
* Ensuring all planned maintenance appointments are achieved.
* Ensuring great customer service.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Communication.
* Customer Service.
* Organising daily tasks.
* Load planning.
* Good geographical knowledge.
* Competent with Microsoft Office applications.
