We are recruiting experienced Fibre Optic Field Engineers to join our fast-growing team. This is an integral role in our mission to provide quality services across the telecoms industry. You will be driven by delivering exceptional quality and have the right skills and attitude to be able to deliver complex business and residential installations.
Key responsibilities:
1. To work in a professional manner, always acting as an ambassador of HGC
2. Always follow Health and Safety guidelines
3. Ensure quality of personal workmanship
4. Care of company equipment and property
5. Installation and testing of optic fibre networks
6. Installation of internal and external fibre within commercial or residential properties
7. Installation of internal or external cable containment
8. Experienced working in POP/FEX sites
9. Hard or Soft copy of test results
10. Hard or Soft copy of “As builds”
11. Supply detailed daily project reports and photographs to project manager/Co-ordinator or field supervisor as appropriate
12. Equipment, cable or cable core labelling to customer requirements
13. Ability to implement work pack instructions
14. Production of redline mark ups if required
15. A55 submissions
16. Experienced working on Openreach & City Fibre networks
17. DFE booking practices
Key Skills / Experience:
Required:
1. Proven Fibre experience
2. Experience fibre installation, testing externally and internally
3. Good written and verbal English language
4. Competent in Microsoft office
5. Ability to work autonomously and be solution focused
6. Good communication skills, as the role is customer facing
7. Physically able to complete the role
Required Qualifications / Certification:
1. NRSWA unit 2
2. Must hold a valid driving licence – no more than 6 points
Desirable:
1. Critical National Infrastructure qualifications
2. High Level Security clearance
3. Asbestos Awareness
4. First Aid
5. CSCA/CCNSG
6. PIA accreditations
