We have an exciting opportunity for at least two dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Graduate Assistant and Resident Tutor. The successful candidate should either have an interest in Sports or the Arts (Music/Drama/Art). Should the candidate have an interest in sports they will work with the PE and Sports department to assist with coaching, strength and conditioning and games. Should the candidate have an interest in the Arts, work will be carried out across the Music, Drama and Art departments with their loading in respective departments dependent upon their experience and specialisms to date. The successful candidate will also take on the role of resident tutor in the boarding house. Accommodation forms part of the remuneration package.
Specialisms for the Sports Graduate Assistant role of particular interest to the school include, but are not limited to hockey, netball and cricket.
This represents an outstanding opportunity for upcoming graduates who wish to gain further experience before pursuing a career in teaching or coaching.
The Graduate Assistant and Resident Tutor will contribute and support the schools outstanding extra-curricular programme and pastoral provision. As Resident Tutor, the post-holder will contribute towards the care and welfare of pupils within the boarding house and will assist the Housemaster/mistress in all aspects of the running of that house, including pastoral care, discipline, statutory obligations under Health & Safety and Welfare Legislation. This is a full time, term time only post. The post-holder will be on duty one weekend in two during term time and will be responsible for a weekly evening duty, as may be reasonably required from time to time.
