NVH Engineer - Attribute Refinement Location: Gaydon (with travel to Solihull and Halewood) – Hybrid Contract Type: Ongoing, Inside IR35 Rate: £25.53 per hour (Umbrella) Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and proactive NVH Engineer - Attribute Refinement to join the In-Service Performance Team within the Vehicle NVH department. This team is central to enhancing customer satisfaction by delivering vehicles free from abnormal noise (Squeak & Rattle) and water leaks. As an NVH Engineer - Attribute Refinement, you will be involved in identifying, analysing, and resolving issues across vehicle programmes, collaborating with cross-functional teams from concept through to the vehicle lifecycle. You will employ problem-solving methodologies to address issues arising from manufacturing, fleet users, durability tests, warranty claims, and customer feedback. Key Responsibilities: Identify and define problems using facts and evidence to ensure a clear problem definition. Apply problem-solving tools such as Root Cause Analysis and the 8D methodology to drive resolution. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the resolution of Squeak & Rattle and water ingress issues. Analyse large datasets to determine actionable insights and prioritise activities accordingly. Organise and plan work in two-week sprints, delivering against priorities in an agile environment. Deliver presentations to work groups and senior management, effectively communicating findings and solutions. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards, including conducting risk assessments. Skills Required: Previous experience with problem-solving tools (e.g., Root Cause Analysis, 8D, Fishbone, FTA, PDCA, 5Y). Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel at an intermediate level. Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes. Experience Required: Degree in Engineering or equivalent automotive experience preferred. Demonstrable experience in problem-solving, using tools like 8D and Root Cause Analysis. Hands-on experience with quality tools and techniques. Strong analytical skills to process and interpret large datasets. Knowledge of Trim & Final, BIW, and sealing systems. A full UK driving licence (and ability to obtain a Class 3 licence). Experience Preferred: Degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering. Experience with New Model Launch or Vehicle Manufacturing operations. Technical knowledge related to Squeak & Rattle or water ingress resolution. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA). Experience with company tools such as Tableau, AIMs, IQM, and Flags. Working knowledge of CAD or Digi-buck and material compatibility/joining technologies
