Deputy General Services Assistant Supervisor

To support the senior team providing leadership and support to the General Services Assistant team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that high standards of a full range of hotel services are provided and maintained internally and externally.
Main Duties of the Job
Support the GSA Supervisor in providing a full range of hotel services within the community hospital that hosts multiple departments and staff. Responsibilities include:
1. Monitoring/auditing and reporting standards within the Hotel Services remit.
2. Providing day-to-day support to the GSA team.
3. Ensuring that duties, tasks, and responsibilities are carried out to the required standards, within allocated time scales, and with due regard to clients, visitors, and other staff.

Person Specification
Education & Qualifications
* Good standard of education - Maths and English or equivalent.
* Previous cleaning/catering experience in a hospital or similar environment.
* NVQ 3 Certificate or equivalent experience.
* Previous supervisory role in a healthcare environment.
Knowledge and Abilities
* Awareness of COSHH.
* Awareness of Health & Safety Legislation.
* Awareness of HR procedures and staff support systems.
* Able to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and members of the public.
