MEM Northampton is seeking skilled MOT Testers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and be proficient in using hand tools and power tools.The main duties will be;Carry out MOT testsUndertake road and ramp testing and inspection as and when required.Carry out all repairs in line with approved methods to restore the vehicle to its original condition.Plan and organise time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed within set deadlines, achieving efficiency.Assist with general workshop tasks as and when requiredDiagnose problems on vehicles in the workshop and if needed undertake electrical diagnosis on vehiclesDeal with warranty repairs in line with manufacturer standardsEnsure all the relevant documentation is accurately completed and all company procedures are followedJob Requirements:Previous experience in a similar role as a Vehicle Technician / MechanicQualified as a MOT Tester (essential)Qualified to City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 (essential)Willing to support junior techs and offer support/expertise when needed.You will be passionate to work within the motor industry and take pride in their work, to the highest standards of work set by customersYou will need to work independently on vehicles and have experience to make decisions when requiredExcellent attention to detailAdditional Information:Full valid UK driving licence with the ability to drive automatic and manual cars (essential)For the insurance purpose you need to be over 21 years old and hold a driving licence for minimum 2 years (essential)You must own your own tools / basic startShift Pattern:Monday to Friday with weekend availabilityHours to be 07:30 - 16:00 to start from, and then shift would be given between hours: 06:00 - 18:00TPBN1_UKTJ
