Sports Coach
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with an SEMH school in Blackburn as they are looking to hire a sports coach to further engage and develop their pupil’s enjoyment of physical activity and development.
The role
As a sports coach you will need to have a relevant sport qualification, and experience working with pupils aged between 11-16 years. The school has small class sizes varying between to 6-10 pupils per class. First aid training for this role is desirable, you will have to ensure a professional but engaging learning environment throughout, whilst following all health and safety procedures and behavioural policies set by the school. Within this role, there may be elements of general classroom support on your timetable. The school has a focus on building meaningful relationships with all pupils to create a respectful and safe environment for all, this means you will need to be able to form these relationships easily with both staff and pupils, engaging in all activities as a part of school life.
- Full-time basis, Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:30 am and 3:30 pm.
- £12.90 - £14.50 p/h dependent on skills and experience.

This is a SEMH Provision in the Blackburn. The school caters for pupils who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties.
To be successful, you must:
* Have sports coach background/ sporting experience
* Have experience supporting children/ young adults with additional needs
