Legal Specialist (12 month fixed term contract)

Join our dynamic team and become an integral part of our operations in Europe, supporting our legal team in ensuring seamless contract administration and compliance throughout Europe's vibrant hotel lifecycle.
As a vital member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to:
* Facilitate Franchise Agreements: From new franchise licenses to conversions and change of ownership agreements, you'll be responsible for the meticulous preparation and issuance of these vital documents to our franchisees and managed hotel owners.
* Ensure Compliance: Conduct thorough due diligence and manage all aspects of licensing execution, including the issuance of franchise disclosures and the collection of fees, to guarantee adherence to regulatory requirements.
* Maintain Accuracy: Review and verify all licensing data, ensuring completeness and correctness.
* Support Licensees: Act as a dedicated contact for licensees or their representatives, providing essential information and guidance.
* Manage Variations: Draft and oversee variations to franchise licenses.
* Handle Defaults and Termination: Issue letters pertaining to defaults, extensions, and terminations for licensees who do not meet system requirements.
* Facilitate Debt Recovery: Provide support in the debt recovery process for terminated or cancelled projects.
* Support Hotel Openings: Assist in the opening process for managed and franchised hotels, contributing to successful launches and operational excellence.
* Maintain Records: Process Principal Correspondent records accurately and ensure timely updates as required, maintaining comprehensive documentation for reference and compliance purposes.
* Manage Special Agreements: Issue and execute various special agreements, including impact letters, comfort letters, and ancillary agreements, to address specific needs and situations.
* Improve Procedures: Collaborate with the team to develop or refine procedures for contract administration as necessary, contributing to continuous improvement and efficiency.
What we need from you:
* Bachelor’s degree in Law
* At least 1 year of work-related experience in franchise licensing, compliance, banking administration, contract administration, or a similar field, demonstrating technical proficiency relevant to the position.
* Strong writing and reading comprehension skills are necessary for drafting, compiling, and interpreting legally binding license agreements and financial letters.
* Understanding of contractual agreements and the ability to administer ongoing contracts or similar detail-oriented projects is required.
* Demonstrated attention to detail is crucial, along with strong time management and organizational skills, to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of the role.
