Escape Recruitment Services Commercial Division are recruiting for our client, a global Supply Chain Distribution business with sites across the UK. We are recruiting an experienced Business Development Manager for Scotland and North East England.
Our client, supply a range of technical products to a number of industry sectors including manufacturing, engineering, electronics, automotive, construction, aerospace and energy.
You will provide account management to existing customers whilst identifying new business opportunities within relevant markets, providing solution-based selling within manufacturing organisations.
Responsibilities include:
* Build, grow and expand new sales pipelines in both existing and emerging markets, leveraging on competitive advantages in supply chain, global sourcing and technical services.
* Identify and target new business opportunities.
* Develop and nurture strong relationships with key customers.
* Maintain consistent sales forecast and pipeline.
* Analyse market trends, customer behaviour, and competitive landscape to identify areas of growth and opportunities for improvement.
* Drive and expand market share and ensure that competitor's information is tracked for strategic action plans.
* Build a strategy for growth in the region, driving operational excellence with on-time-delivery.
Experience Required
* Solid experience of working in a field based business development role
* Experience of selling products to manufacturing businesses across Scotland and ideally North England
* Previous experience of solution based selling techniques, able to understand the individual requirements of the customer and provide a full range of product solutions
* Able to demonstrate previous sales achievements
* Strong communication skills
* Able to build strong relationships and rapport with customers and internal teams
* Confident IT skills including MS Office and CRM/ERP systems
