North East Cluster Operations Manager
About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the Safe and Compliant Management of all Terminal activities, meeting defined Company Strategic Objectives, within agreed parameters. To deputise for the Cluster Manager/Terminal Manager as required. Management of all day to day operational activities ensuring adherence with current legislation, approved codes of practice and company policies. You will be able to lead, develop and support all employees throughout the NE region ensuring the Process Safety Improvement and Strategic Plans are actively managed, making requests for capital funding when areas for improvement are identified.
Key Responsibility
• To ensure appropriate Terminal budgets and capital projects are monitored throughout the financial year and prioritised accordingly through to close out.
• including regulatory bodies, company personnel and customers
• Evaluate and determine best effective use of all resources and assets in order to meet Terminal objectives
• To ensure the Management of Change process is activated during the early planning stages for any new installations or modifications to existing plant.
• To identify potential hazards and assess associated risks with ongoing operations.
• To control and coordinate the role of RPS in accordance with the Ionising Radiations regulations.
• Develop and continuously improve the Quality Management Systems.
• Fulfil responsibilities as defined in the Terminal Emergency Response Plans.
• Manage and coordinate the primary stages of the Discipline and Grievance procedure.
About You
The successful candidate will have an appropriate degree or equivalent professional qualification, previous experience of Bulk liquid warehousing operational management and Budgetary management.
In order to succeed in the role you will need knowledge and understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental ‘best practice’ in a high hazard industrial setting coupled with an understanding of ISO 9001 quality management system be Self-motivated with team working and verbal/written communication skills. Personnel management and team leadership in a middle management role is also desirable.
