Team/Role Overview: This is a product management role covering Commercial Cards B2B eCommerce products, related to UK and Europe clients. This includes the Travel Agency Cards product targeted at clients who make wholesale travel related purchases such as OTAs and TMCs as well as our versatile Virtual Cards product. The role is placed in London, with reporting line to Head of B2B Commercial Cards, UK/Europe. The key responsibility of the role is product packaging and commercialisation – the B2B eCommerce Product Manager will use their knowledge of the B2B eCommerce Industry to build solutions addressing the payment needs of corporates in this industry segment while constantly keeping up with the industry trends and competitive pressures. On a day-to-day basis, the role will include product management, including launching new products and capabilities, product risk management, pricing, exceptions, regulatory reviews and addressing internal and external queries related to product capabilities. You will be required to work closely with Sales and client-facing teams to address client needs as well as with Technology and Operations to build new capabilities and manage Product Risk. What you’ll do: Responsible for driving ecommerce strategy for commercial cards across UK and Europe. Work with TTS Solution Sales, CCB and BCMA Coverage teams and third-party industry experts to gain deep understanding of each of the client segments such as OTAs/TMCs, Insurance, Professional Services and Digital/ Technology/ Communications. Define value proposition for each of the segments – focused on key client objectives and solutions that match to solve them. Formulate the product packaging, development, positioning, rollout and distribution strategy to meet spend/revenue targets and drive commercialisation. Identify and work with third-party partners that bring value-added solutions or/and help drive sales. Be the Industry and subject-matter-expert for Sales team and act as a consultant for solution design. Participate in complex client discussions and RFP pitches. Supervise day-to-day product management for core products such as product delivery, client experience, and client communication strategies. Work closely with global product team to develop and refine the strategy of product solutions, go to market approach, communication strategies and delivery model. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. Work with product control functions to ensure that all relevant documentation (eg Product Approval Program) and processes (e.g. Product Launch Framework) are strictly adhered to. What we’ll need from you: An inquisitive mindset and go-getter attitude This is a high growth; high-energy business that has a lot of senior attention. Constantly being on the look-out for new growth opportunities and ability to overcome hurdles will be key. Strong analytical skills, eye for detail and appreciation for technology - the role often deals with FinTech’s/Platform providers and appreciation for high-level solution components and how they interact is critical. Strong commercial acumen – you will be required to understand new business models and decipher motivations for client objectives. Excellent communication and presentation skills as the role requires frequent client interaction and participation in competitive sales pitches. Stakeholder Management - collaboration across disparate groups, internal and external, and ability to influence decisions. Knowledge of the B2B eCommerce industry including an understanding of the way key players in this industry segment operate. Prior experience of working within the Payments industry and especially in cards and Virtual Cards solutions. Rigorous attention to detail and relentless focus on execution/delivery. Significant experience in/with the eCommerce industry. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Master’s degree preferred.
