We have an exciting opportunity for two Band 6 full time posts within the Emotional Wellbeing Hub, for a qualified Practitioner (mental health nurse/ occupational therapist/ social worker) to join our dynamic young person focused Child, Family and Young Persons Service (CFYP) in Suffolk. This is an exciting opportunity to support the ongoing development of the iThrive framework in Suffolk in a locality-based model.
The Emotional Wellbeing Hub (EWH) provides an access point to mental health services for children, young people aged 0-25 years old. The service provides screening of referrals, advice, guidance to professionals and service users who have been referred for mental health services. We provide telephone interventions and signposting to services within NSFT, VCSE and additional support services across Suffolk.
The post holders will be responsible for responding to queries and referrals to initiate the most appropriate sources of support for children and young people. This includes facilitating therapeutic conversations, risk assessment, safety planning and arranging onward referrals where this is appropriate.
The Emotional Wellbeing Hub is currently based within Endeavour House, 8 Russell Road, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP1 2BX and is open 8am-8pm service Monday to Friday, We require flexibility in working patterns to cover the service opening hours.
EWH staff have varied duties allocated via a team rota which include:
* Managing the duty inbox email requests, telephone requests and deciding next steps.
* Screening referrals, deciding whether these are urgent, priority or routine.
* Triaging referrals, making calls to professionals to find out more information or contacting families and young people directly to gain additional information on their needs, risk assess and safety plan.
* Multi agency liaison, presenting referrals to other teams to ascertain appropriate service for support.
We are looking for candidates who have a registered profession, have kept up their CPD in order to retain their registered profession. It would be desirable for candidates to have experience of 2 years or more working with children/adolescents and young adults within the mental health field who can demonstrate an excellent understanding of the mental health needs of this client group.
We are looking for candidates with sound clinical judgement and good understanding of safeguarding and risk assessment.
Previous experience in assessment and formulation is essential.
