As a medium-sizedpany they strike the balance between being flexible and personable, while remaining able to work across the largest schemes in the country. They have a large team of experienced and qualified ecologists providing a range of ecological services including species-specific expertise, habitat creation and management, landscape design, and biodiversity net gain. They can fulfil all the ecological requirements of projects, and provide technical solutions needed to ensure project oues are met safely and sustainably.
Your new role They are looking for individuals to join and deliver a vast range of multi-disciplinary projects; working closely with and providing value to a number of their long-term, highly respected clients. This integral position is perfect for someone currently working as an Assistant Ecologist who is now ready to advance their career and take on a role with a greater level of responsibility. Whether you are looking to develop your own knowledge or impart your years of experience to others, you will be doing so with an award-winning environmental consultancy known for doing great work on infrastructure, various water related projects, transport and more.
What you'll need to succeed You will use your technical experience across survey design and delivery, your experience with protected species to manage developments and the survey phases of projects; assisting Project Managers and working with the guidance and support of their Consultant, Senior and Principal Ecologists onplex sites.
In addition, they are looking for:
1. Apetent level of knowledge for at least one protected species.
2. Confidence in conducting site surveys for a range of species and habitats.
3. Survey license/s for at least one protected species ( GCN, Bats, Dormice, Barn owl) would be desirable.
4. Experience of sharing knowledge with others; either in person, by developing learning material,munity education or otherwise.
5. Technical report writing capabilities
6. GIS skills are desirable
7. Full UK Driving licence
