Salary: £145-£220 per day (dependent on experience, training, or qualifications)
Vision For Education is seeking qualified PE Teachers with experience working with children with Special Educational Needs to join our team from March 2025. We offer both day-to-day and long-term teaching placements, accommodating your personal circumstances.
The Role
The role of a PE Teacher involves working within a Special Needs School with children with various Special Education Needs, including Autism, ASD, Speech Language and Communication Needs, SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health issues), EBD (Emotional Behavioral Difficulties), and challenging behavior across all key stages. The position primarily focuses on practical work, with some theory-based tasks as well.
This role requires a committed, enthusiastic, and resilient individual with great communication skills and experience working with children with complex needs. The successful teacher will work as part of a dedicated team that maintains a child-centered approach.
Requirements
1. Hold full UK QTS – either primary or secondary specialism
2. Ideally have previous experience of planning for students with EHCPs
3. Two school-based performance references within the last two years
4. Previous experience of working with challenging behaviors is highly desirable
5. An enhanced DBS registered to the update service or the willingness to apply for one
6. The ability to work on initiative and proactively
7. The desire to work with young people with special educational needs
8. Available at least 3 days per week
