Our Team
We're on the lookout for an enthusiastic and skilled Robotics (Intelligent Automation) Senior Tech Lead to join our dynamic OEE team within Enterprise Systems. We're a dedicated group with a singular focus: delivering cutting-edge technology to empower our colleagues to deliver top-notch customer service at lightning speed. The OEE (Operations Engineering Efficiencies) is part of Enterprise Systems, closely partnering with various Operations teams to provide them with the technology systems that support our customers and colleagues.
We have developed several Robotic Process Automations leveraging Blue Prism over the years for Account Opening, Account Closures, Cash ISA Transfer, Mortgage Broker Offer Generation and a number of other automations across Mortgages, Business Banking, Retail Banking and more. We are looking to not only continue to enhance those propositions but have ambitions to improve our customer and colleague experiences by growing our Robotics capability where appropriate. In addition, we have a migration program underway to migrate all our Blue Prism automations to Microsoft Power Automate Desktop.
What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Engineering Lead, you’ll be responsible for line managing a team of talented Engineers and provide direction for the capabilities being built by them. This includes:
1. Recruitment activities and management of team financials.
2. Build and maintain Robotics delivery roadmap working with business stakeholders.
3. Ensure continued focus on Platform Health and stabilization and building secure, resilient and observant platforms.
4. Lead and drive end-to-end software delivery ensuring business expectations on delivery and code quality are met.
5. Drive continuous improvements and improve ways of working including collaboration with relevant areas (e.g. Devops, Release Management, Infrastructure, QA).
6. Responsible for Supplier Relationship Management tasks.
7. Work with architecture team to design secure, scalable and optimized solutions.
8. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
9. Ensure best practices and standards are built and followed in Robotics automations development and delivery.
We need you to have
1. Experience in a technical lead role, leading the delivery of large and complex projects and leading the team of engineers.
2. Excellent hands-on technical skills to help the team and solve problems.
3. Deep understanding of Robotics architecture with Blue Prism and Power Automate Desktop.
4. Familiarity with building Blue Prism processes/objects and Power Automate flows.
5. Experience in designing solutions including Web Automation, UI Automation, Windows Application automation, Excel Automation, and Mainframe Automation.
6. Experience with Azure cloud platform especially in Azure IaaS for Virtual machines.
7. Strong Engineering skills with a background in Solution/Architectural Design.
It’s a bonus if you have but not essential
1. Blue Prism Process Solutions Certification (ASD01).
2. Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant Certification (PL-200).
3. Cloud certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect or Microsoft Administrator Associate).
4. Experience in projects migrating on-premises workloads to Cloud.
5. Experience working in Financial Services or other regulated market sector.
