Electrician (day shift ) £c45k Benefits South East ABJ7000 PERMANENT Onsite An experienced electrician for day shift work, is urgently required to cover labs and a production site in terms of equipment installation, maintenance, improvement and capital work will be completed in this role to support the chemical processes as necessary. As an experienced electricians you will have responsibility for the maintenance and breakdown of the electrical systems and equipment on site (motors, instrumentation, panels etc.), including all improvements and upgrades, new plant installations for electrical equipment as necessary. Key Responsibilities Be able to carry out electrical installations and maintenance of electrical supplies and systems ensuring that all electrical work satisfies the statutory and technical (IET) British Standards and Codes of Practice(s). Cover more than one site. Installation, Maintenance, Improvement and capital work will be completed in this role to support the chemical processes as necessary. Responsibility for the maintenance and breakdown of the electrical systems and equipment on site (motors, instrumentation, panels etc), including all improvements and upgrades, new plant installations for electrical equipment as necessary. Maintain the necessary standards expected by the company for safety (As per the routine mode of practice which complies with the IET regulations). Carry out any reasonable duties as identified by your line manager or team leader Positively represent the company to our customers and suppliers Ensure compliance with all contractual employment obligations. Ensure compliance with our ISO standards. Fully participate in the company's performance management and development programmes. Knowledge/Skills/Experience 18th Edition (BS7671:2018) NVQ Level 3 Electro Technical Services in Electrical or BTEC National Certificate in Electrical Engineering Knowledge of PLCs, 3 Phase motors, fault finding & trouble shooting on industrial control systems and understanding of electrical drawings Knowledge of building MMC panels advantageous but not essential Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus of electrical systems including LV circuits, Electrical Motors, power and lighting, using test equipment Work in conjunction with the Electrical Supervisor/Electrical Manager in the implementation of an effective preventive maintenance program for all electrical components and systems Cooperate with other engineers in coordinating the electrical installation of specialized electrical components to the completion of the project Using blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacture’s installation guidelines to complete the project To Apply: Please contact Alison Basson
