Job summary
The Senior Channel Sales Engineer at DigiCert will play a crucial role in building a partner ecosystem that is technically and sales-enabled in our Digital Trust proposition. This position requires developing a deep technical understanding of DigiCert solutions and architecture and being able to position them positively against our competition. It will be responsible for the education of relevant partner individuals such that they are able to drive GTM activities. The role involves analyzing market needs, capturing feedback for product enhancements, and working independently or with cross-functional teams. Additional responsibilities include creating product and proposition documentation, providing training, and supporting the Enablement Team. Travel to partner sites and industry events will be necessary.
What you will do
* Partner with the Channel Team to build specific enablement plans for high focus GTM partners and Distributors.
* Build the product skills of solution architects and technical representatives of partners.
* Run training and enablement sessions with partners to increase their confidence in DigiCert solutions.
* Present to small and large groups of partner representatives to drive awareness and pipeline development.
* Develop and maintain a deep technical understanding of DigiCert solutions & architecture.
* Provide demonstrations of DigiCert solutions and services to prospects/customers.
* Facilitate technical evaluations in conjunction with the Partner for prospective customers in a Proof of Concept (POC) environment.
* Assist in response to functional and technical elements of partner RFPs/RFIs.
* Assist with the creation of product and/or technical documentation for partner use.
* Support Enablement Team with training course/lab development as needed.
What you will have
* 8+ years’ work experience in presales/technical sales or consulting in cybersecurity or PKI.
* Industry Recognized Networking or Information Security related certification (CISSP, CISM, Security+, Network+ etc).
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and confidence in presenting to large groups.
* Bachelor’s degree or higher (preferably in systems management, computer science or cybersecurity).
* Hands-on experience with common IT systems found in enterprise environments (Windows, Linux, Mac, AD/AAD/LDAP, routers, load balancers, SSL inspection devices, web servers, VPNs, etc.).
* Experience working with Cloud technologies and providers (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.).
* Strong communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills.
* Strong technical writing skills.
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
* Fluent in writing and speaking English.
* Firm understanding of cryptographic concepts in IT environments: symmetric/asymmetric cryptography, hash algorithms, digital signatures, HSMs, etc.
* Familiarity with Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS) and related components.
* Understanding of PKI including CA deployments, template/profile creation, and certificate lifecycle management.
* Large enterprise IT consulting, administration, or support experience.
* Experience working with APIs.
* Familiarity with code signing and/or document signing workflows.
* Experience working with containerization architecture, platforms and infrastructure (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Cert-Manager, etc.).
