Job overview
We have an opportunity for a suitably qualified nurse to join Newington CMHT based at the Maple Leaf Centre in North Solihull, working with a well-established, dynamic multidisciplinary team.
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated, and adaptable individual who can effect positive changes for people experiencing severe and enduring mental health concerns, with excellent assessment and risk management skills, alongside all-round Service User centred skills and a genuine desire to work in this area.
You will have experience and confidence in working autonomously in an adult mental health setting and will have skills in engagement, assessment, risk management, and care planning.
Main duties of the job
You will have excellent communication and multi-disciplinary/multi-agency team working skills underpinned by a sound knowledge of principles of Recovery, CPA, and Mental Health Act legislation. Training will be provided for Dialogue Plus.
You will need effective time management skills and an ability to prioritise workload. You will be joining supportive and welcoming teams, with access to regular supervision and opportunities for personal and professional development.

Person specification
Qualification: RMN
* Significant post-registration experience in Mental Health.
* Ability to demonstrate skills relating to engaging Service User Group.
* NMC registration.
* Risk assessment skills specific to complex, high risk Service Users.
* Degree/Diploma.
* Evidence of experience as a community psychiatric nurse.
* Demonstrates knowledge of the issues surrounding community mental health services.
* Evidence of continuous professional development.
