The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality patient care and coordinating with the healthcare team to deliver effective treatment. The RN performs assessments, administers treatments, educates patients and their families, and ensures the safety and well-being of patients. The RN follows established policies and procedures while maintaining ethical standards and complying with all healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
* Conduct patient assessments and create care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
* Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care.
* Maintain accurate patient records, including nursing notes, vital signs, and medication logs.
* Ensure patient safety by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
* Collaborate with other healthcare providers to deliver coordinated care.
* Respond to patient concerns and address any issues or complaints promptly.
* Perform nursing procedures within the scope of practice and as directed by the healthcare provider.
* Monitor and document patient progress, including any changes in condition or treatment response.
* Provide emotional support to patients and families during difficult times.
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices and regulations.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or medical team.
Required Qualifications :
* Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
* Proven experience as a Registered Nurse in a clinical or hospital setting.
* Strong understanding of nursing practices, medical terminology, and patient care techniques.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Preferred Qualifications :
* Experience in specific areas of nursing (e.g., pediatric, geriatric, surgical, or critical care).
* Advanced certification in a nursing specialty (e.g., ACLS, PALS).
* Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Certifications :
* Required : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
* Preferred : Advanced certifications such as ACLS or PALS, depending on the nursing specialty.
Education and Experience :
* Required : Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
* Preferred : BSN or equivalent higher-level nursing degree.
