We are looking to hire Exam Invigilators on a casual basis, to help supervise the conduct of students in various different exam periods/settings.
You will support the Exams Officer with the day-to-day operation of examination venues and other examination processes, with activities including:
1. Assisting with setting-up examination venues by laying out stationery, equipment and examination papers
2. Assisting candidates prior to the start of examinations
3. Invigilating during examinations, dealing with queries raised by candidates and dealing with irregularities
4. Checking attendance during examinations
5. Recording details of late arrivals
6. Escorting candidates from venues during examinations and supervising candidates outside examination venues
7. Supervising candidates leaving examination venues, ensuring that candidates do not remove equipment or stationery from the venue
The successful candidate will:
1. Have a positive interest in young people and their education
2. The ability to be flexible
3. Accuracy and a high level of attention to detail
4. Confident communication skills
5. A firm but fair attitude
6. The ability to work well under pressure
7. Physical fitness - there is a lot of walking involved
