With a secured programme works and ambitious growth plans for our Turnkey services, Egis Projects UK is seeking an experienced candidate for the position of Mechanical Package Manager. The role will be based in London and require full-time attendance on-site.

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Package Manager with significant experience in construction and contract delivery roles with tier 1/2 contractors. Strong knowledge of construction industry and railway standards will be essential. In this role, you will play a critical role in coordinating and overseeing the integration of various systems within rail projects, with a specific lead function and expertise in mechanical systems, public health and building management systems.
You will have strong leadership skills, being able to work autonomously and be accountable for mechanical packages from concepts, through design to installation and handover. You will also be responsible for the development and training of a team of engineers and site managers, to grow the capacity and capability of our mechanical engineering services.
You will manage and co-ordinate our design teams, supply chain partners and cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of mechanical systems in rail and construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety Leadership:
The role will act as a leader within Turnkey services and the wider Egis Group on all Health and Safety matters, helping to drive improved H&S performance and identifying improvements to existing performance, policies and processes. The role will require the candidates to demonstrate extensive experience of CDM regulations, acting as Principal Designer/Principal Contractor and will assist the business in discharging its duties under CDM for all contracts.
Contract Management:
Accountable for the profit/loss of assigned commissions within the Turnkey service. Lead and utilise commercial teams to provide reporting, CVR updates and contract administration. Management of construction performance and works programmes. Lead on tendering, procurement activities and supply chain engagement.
Leadership and Team Management:
To lead in the growth of a mechanical services team, recruitment of technical and management staff and manage the mentoring of junior engineers and site managers. Provide strategic direction and guidance on business and tendering activities.
Technical Leadership:
Implement systems and procedures to maintain a cost effective, high quality, safe and environmentally responsible approach to design, construction, commissioning and other technical activities on relevant projects, compliant with all relevant legislation.
Pre-construction planning and design integration:
Collaborate with the designers, supply-chain partners and other stakeholders to lead on effective constructability advice, value engineering, logistic and delivery plans during the pre-construction phase to maximise value, quality and safety.
Engineering and Quality Assurance:
Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure the integration of systems meets industry standards, regulatory requirements, design and safety guidelines.
Profile
Skills and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Proven experience in large multi-discipline rail or infrastructure projects within a tier 1/2 contractor.
* Expert knowledge in various building, infrastructure and/or industrial mechanical systems.
* Strong knowledge of rail industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
* Strong knowledge of Project and Construction Management principles.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong knowledge of the management of different forms of contract (i.e. NEC, JCT etc.).
* Ability to analyse complex systems integration challenges and develop effective solutions.
* Experience with the development of project programme.
* Drivers Licence.
* Previous experience acting in a CEM or CRE-C role.
* Account or commission management experience, with responsibility for project P&L.
* Experience in tendering and estimating support.
