Job summary The Division of Surgery covers the following specialties - Anaesthetics, Trauma and Orthopaedic, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Pain Management, Urology, ENT. The post holder will provide an efficient, effective and comprehensive clerical and administrative support to the Surgical Ambulatory Care Unit. The post holder will work in accordance with standard operating procedures and trust policies and procedures, to ensure patients requiring procedures within the department have their pathway managed efficiently and effectively. To provide support to registered nursing staff and other healthcare professionals in the delivery of patient care at a level determined by training, competence and experience. They will also assist in the maintenance of the care environment and perform clerical and ancillary roles as requested. Will be based on SACU but expected to go medical records on a weekly basis to file loose notes. To undertake duties for which training has been received and where relevant, competency based assessment successfully completed.
