Our client is a leading wholesale glass distribution and processing company in New Zealand, serving various industries for over 30 years. In 2019, they opened a state-of-the-art factory, featuring the latest glass processing equipment and lean manufacturing principles. We are seeking experienced Glazing/Glass Machine Operators to join our team in Waikato.
Key Responsibilities:
* Setting and operating a range of glass production machinery
* Inspecting the quality and making necessary changes to machine parameters
* Programming glass machines and using manual equipment when necessary
* Accurate measuring and marking glass using precision instruments and supplied templates
* Cutting glass according to specifications using water jet/CNC and I-CAM software
* Installing glass to frames
* Operation of suction lifter
Machineries:
Glass cutting machinery:
* Programming and running Intermac cutting equipment
Insulated Glass Unit machinery:
* Automated Forel IGU line with robotic edge sealing and tape application
* Manual Bassra IGU line
Glass tempering machinery:
* Operation of RC200 semi-convection furnace.
Glass processing machinery: Intermac
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* At least 3 years relevant work experience in a similar role
* Strong attention to detail with excellent technical skills.
* Must be able to lift heavy items
* Ability to work independently with great time management.
* Desire to grow within the company
* Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
* Have clean police report with no charges pending.
